DID YOU KNOW... last year over $13,000 was raised through special events... what a great way to have fun and increase your campaign.

Every Day for United Way...
Celebrate every day of the week with fun events. Kick off the week with "MonWay" donut breakfast, "TuesWay" snacks for sale, "WednesWay" host a bake sale, "ThursWay" encourage each department to pick a theme, dress, decorate and provide food accordingly to ask for donations from coworkers for tasting their diverse meals, "FriWay" host a chili cook off where pledge cards are collected and prizes drawn.

Donor Dogs...
Host a cook-out in the parking lot. To eat you have to turn in your pledge card (whether you give or not). Add a carnival theme and put your boss in a dunk tank. Have prizes for whoever can eat the most hot dogs in a minute.

Dragin' Tricycles...
Throw a tricycle race. Set up a relay course in the parking lot and have contestants race through while being timed. Observers can wage money on their favorite racers.

United Wii Bowl...
Set up a Wii game system in a small conference room. Employees pay-to-play with prizes going to the top scorer in each game.

Diet for the United Way...
Hold a contest to see who can lose the most weight over a month-long period. Each person pays a set amount for every pound lost or gained. Prizes for the biggest loser.

Every Penny Counts...
Interdepartmental contest to see who can collect the most pennies. Sabotage the other teams by adding to their jar, any currency that is not a penny. The total of silver change and bills is subtracted from that teams total.

Giving Has Sweet Rewards...
All donors that give at $5 per day or a one time gift of $120 receive a candy jar that gets filled up throughout the year to remind donors that "Giving Has Sweet Rewards". The type or quality of candy can go up as the donation increases.

Carving for a Cause..
Have a pumpkin carving contest. Collect $2 to vote for your favorite design. The winner will get a prize.
