12/9/2009How To Make Strategic Program Decisions
Time: 9:00AM - 12:00PM. Location: American Red Cross, Elkhart, IN

Cost: $30

The workshop will focus on the use of evaluation logic and program data to guide decisions about program effectiveness and viability. Specific tools and concepts will be introduced that can help nonprofits make program decisions that are systematic, consistent, and intentional.

The base tool used in the workshop is the MacMillan Matrix©. Part I will focus on two of the key aspects of the Matrix, fit and competitive position. Utilizing the information gathered in Part I, participants will then complete the MacMillan Matrix.

As a result of this process, organizations will be able to:

  • prioritize specific programs based on their overall value to the organization
  • identify areas of potential refinement or consolidation of programs
  • make program decisions that do not compromise mission
