United Way puts Families First
March 19, 2008, ELKHART, IN- Today at the Matterhorn Restaurant, community leaders were invited to a special breakfast celebrating the partnership between the United Way and Families First (a partnership managed by CAPS). Families First is a unique partnership that brings together community agencies who have a goal of seeing all children enter kindergarten ready to learn.
Community partners from ADEC, the Elkhart County Community Foundation, the Elkhart County Commissioners, Elkhart Community School and Chase Bank were recognized for their contribution to the partnership.
Families First is funded in part by the United Way of Elkhart County through a special grant made possible by the Indiana Association of United Ways (IAUW). The United Way has been given a renewal for additional resources to be used in Elkhart County. The United Way’s board of directors supported continuing the good work accomplished through the partnership with Families First.
