Henkles and McCoy have a Charity Yard Sale
July 17 2009
Henkles & McCoy decided to show their United Way support by putting on a Charity Yard Sale. Staff, led by Debbie Aber asked the community to donate items that they had left over from their own yard sales, items they just didn't want anymore or to donate stuff instead of doing their own sale.
On sale day, the humidity went away thanks to evening showers the night before. Tables and tarps were put out and an amazing amount of great things were put out for people to buy. Not a thing was priced... "it's all for charity, give what you think..."
On behalf of the United Way, we thank the many people who gave generously for some wonderful items. Thank you to the people who donated for the sale. And especially thank you to Henkles & McCoy for giving us a reason to clean out our own closets and for hosting an extraordinary event.
